Occupational Therapy at School, During the School Day
Your child gets OT right on campus, so you don’t have to leave work early or fight traffic. With the school’s approval, Shannon works with your child where many challenges actually show up.
How School-Based OT Works
We coordinate with you and the school, see your child on campus, and keep teachers in the loop.
We Coordinate
With the School
With your permission and the school’s approval, Shannon schedules sessions around your child’s day.
Focused Sessions
on Campus
A short, focused 30-minute session, then your child heads right back to class.
Teachers Stay
in the Loop
Shannon shares simple classroom strategies so support continues all week.
Kids spend most of their day at school, and that’s where many challenges show up. Working on campus means we see those moments up close and solve them in context.
We work on:
Handwriting and fine motor: grip, letter formation, spacing, copying from the board
Sensory regulation: noise, movement breaks, seating, and transitions
Attention and organization: starting work, staying on track, multi-step directions
Classroom tasks: scissors, glue, lunch containers, backpacks
Playground and PE: balance, coordination, and joining group games
